Your outfit. Every morning. Already decided.

Weather apps give you a number. The Daily Layer reads your morning, afternoon and evening — then gives you one outfit, chosen from what's in your wardrobe and honest about what isn't.

The problem

You don't want to think about clothes. You want to look like you did.

You make this decision every morning, half awake, on information that doesn't answer the question.

For some people that's a small daily tax. For others it's what makes mornings hard. Either way, the fix is the same: start with an answer, not a blank slate.

Your weather app

Data.

  • 52° · 30% rain
  • Wind 9 mph NW
  • UV 4 · sunset 7:48
  • A small blue cloud

No reason.

Work out what that means for yourself.

The Daily Layer

A decision.

  • Light wool overcoat
  • Merino crewneck
  • Tapered chinos, cuffed
  • Suede chelsea boots

A reason.

Cool start, warm middle, rain by six — wear the layer you can take off at noon.

An example, not a fixed recommendation.

The solution

An app that does the thinking for you.

Weather

Live and forecast conditions where you are — morning, afternoon and evening.

Calendar

What's on your day. A client meeting and a hike don't get the same answer.

Wardrobe

The clothes you own — catalogued from a photo, or ticked off a checklist.

Fit profile

Your height and proportions, so the sizes are right.

How it works

01

A nudge, at the time you choose.

Turn it on and set the time: a notification each morning with the day's range and what to carry — “Rain looks likely — pack an umbrella.”

It arrives whether the app is open or not, and pauses after 14 days without an open

02

Three windows, not one number.

Morning, afternoon and evening, each with its own feel-like temperature, precipitation, wind and UV. The window you are standing in highlights itself.

46° → 63° → 54° is a different day from a flat 54°

03

One outfit, from your wardrobe.

Every item is marked as yours or missing, and a short paragraph underneath explains the outfit. Tap anything, especially what you don't own, to shop it.

Or adjust it how you like

Beyond the outfit

Shipping today, not on a roadmap

The outfit is the answer. This is everything around it.

Gaps

Before you need it

Rain on Saturday and nothing waterproof on file. Flagged while there's still time to fix it.

Bring list

Not everything is worn

Umbrella, sunglasses, the layer you want at eight but not at two.

Your day

Weather and calendar, merged

Your meetings and the day's changes on one timeline, in the order they happen.

Plan

The next three days

Each day gets its own full blueprint.

Offline

Works on the subway

When the network's gone, a rules engine answers from the forecast already on your phone.

Archive

The thing that worked last Tuesday

Save an outfit and it's kept — the city, the day, and every item in it.

The obvious questions

We'd rather be specific than reassuring.

What leaves your phone

  • Body photos and clothing photos — to Google's Gemini, through our servers.
  • Precise location — to a weather service, to your phone's own geocoder, and to us. We store it on your profile.
  • Calendar — only if you connect one. Read by your phone, straight from Google or Apple. Events it can't place come to us, and on to Gemini when we haven't seen them before.

What the app costs

Nothing. Every item is shoppable through an affiliate link, and we may earn a commission if you buy. Currently, no subscription and no paid tier.

What we won't do

No ads, anywhere. We will never accept payment to change what the app recommends. It answers to the weather and your wardrobe — plus your events and your sizes, if you've set those up.
